Future Licenced Nursing Home Administrator, January 2018

About Me

I am devout to my profession. Over the last 30 years, I have been actively seeking new and initiative ways to create environments for challenged individuals to remain independent as possible in the community. As a nursing home administrator, I must be able to recognize and adapt to changing trends. Managed care is the future of health care; it is critical to partner with community resources such as assisted living, adult day care and families in the community. For fun I like to travel. In my travels, I research how other states are adapting.

My Success Stories

Shutterstock 85396369 Brought Assisted Living Home to Licensure Standards

I brought a small type A, twelve bed assisted living home up to licensure standards in the 1990's on the cusp of change in health care standards. The home had operated for two decades, unlicensed under the auspices of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

I am proud to have founded Sunny Day Center, an adult day resource center to partner with assisted living homes in the area. Our mission is connecting residents to the community and extended resources. I also lead contracting with Department of Aging and disability, United Health Care, Superior Health Care and Department of Agriculture securing funding sources other than private pay.
